Onsen: Surrounded by volcanoes, Niseko is a hot spring paradise. From the fragrant hinoki baths of the Weiss Hotel a short 5 minute drive away to the sweet waters of Konbu Onsen on the opposite side of the mountain, you can sample the wide variety of soothing minerals and warming waters around the mountain.
Fine Dining: Gourmet dining is steps away at the Inn’s own restaurant or choose from one of the many excellent restaurants between Niseko and Kutchan. The freshest sushi comes from Hokkaido’s pristine waters and innovative chefs use local ingredients to prepare delicious dishes of all varieties. Please consult with our hotel staff to make reservations for your epicurean pleasure at any of Niseko’s fine establishments.
The Niseko area has the curious phenomenon of two foliage seasons. In the spring, as the snows melt, the leaves first appear on the trees in the same color that they left them, oranges, reds and browns, before turning brilliantly green. In the autumn, the expect process happens in reverse, creating two opportunities each year to observe nature in multi-colored splendor.
Skiing/Snowboarding: The high-speed quad lifts of Hanazono are a quick walk from Freedom Inn’s front door. Located on the north face of Mt. Annupuri, Hanazono offers the deepest and freshest powder on the mountain. Connecting seamlessly with all 38 lifts of the Niseko United unified ski area, Hanazono is the pastoral gateway to diverse terrain and some of the best powder snow on the planet.
